You Don’t Exist

“Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb.” Isaiah 44:2A

When I returned from one of my long stretches in Africa to complete the last year of my masters, I paid cash to rent an apartment. Then I went to the utilities office and gave the information to turn on  the lights and water.

The clerk ran several computer searches. Then she turned to me. ”You don’t exist. There is no record of you anywhere. No accounts of ever renting, paying utilities, buying a car, and no credit cards.”

In God’s sight, no one is invisible. The Lord God formed each human and shaped us right from our mother’s womb. We are precious.

If you ever feel ignored or invisible by family and friends, remember that God fashioned you from one tiny cell. He put you together in a marvelous way. You are distinctive, one of a kind with your own combination of traits, a unique DNA, and set of fingerprints.

Praise the Lord.

You are so valuable in His sight that He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to die as a Sacrifice for your sins.

Praise the Lord.
