It’s Time to Change Direction

“Turn to me with all your heart. With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. Return to the Lord. For He is gracious and merciful.” Joel 2:12

As the year comes to an end, we make resolutions. Let one of them be to turn to the Lord. Repent. Ask forgiveness and turn away from sins.

Change direction. Turn around. Go forward. Walk on God’s path.

Look at Rahab in Joshua chapter 6. The enemy was coming. Houses would tumble to the ground. The town would be destroyed. She fled with the spies for her life, and most likely she didn’t look back. Don’t look back! There’s nothing in your past you need in your life with Christ.

“It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. No one in the field should go back for anything.” Luke17:30-31

“Remember Lot’s wife!”

Don’t look back.

Change direction. Turn around. Go forward. Don’t stop. Don’t go back to get something.  Take God’s hand, walk beside Him, and go forward to safety.

Enter the New Year with Jesus Christ in your heart and life. Make a conscious decision to leave your sin, inappropriate life style, and unhealthy habits behind you. Don’t take anything and run away from your old life. Walk forward with God.

Have a Happy New Year knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord each day.
