Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow Me.” said Jesus “and I will make you fishers of men.”

Training a fisherman to use the correct bait, the right fishing line, rod or net requires time and patience. Jesus trained twelve fishermen to fish for men. These disciples spread the Gospel throughout the world.

Jesus used good strategy. And it works for advancing good health through village workers. In the health education program in Africa I taught one responsible woman to be a health worker in her community. She treated the sick and taught lessons so people everywhere would hear of how to be healthy.

Jesus has made us fishers of men for Him and His Kingdom. As a fisherman we should spread His Gospel throughout the world.

Lord, make each one of us a fisher of men.
