Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

Hope served the Lord and everyone around her. She never worried and trusted her Lord to meet all of her needs. She prayed and fasted three days out of every week, committing all her needs and problems to the Lord. Never once did she ask me for money, food, or clothes.

She became seriously ill. Every time I carried her a gift of food, clothes, or medicine she always walked to my home when she felt stronger to thank me.

Hope gave me so much more than I had ever given her. She was the pure in heart and showed me how to be happy in the midst of difficulty.

She never wanted a little more money, more food, another dress or pair of shoes like other women want. She only wanted more of the Lord and that’s all she ever talked about. Knowing Jesus was enough for her. She was happy and genuinely satisfied with having nothing on earth. She was pure in heart and saw God.
