Matthew 6:7-8 “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like those who are not Christians for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

A parent knows that his child needs food, water, clothes, and shelter.

But still a child says, “I’m hungry. Can I have something to eat?”

Or “I’m thirsty. Can I have some water?”

The child asks his father like we ask the Lord even though God knows our needs.
