Matthew 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.”

God always answers prayers. He says yes, no, or wait.

The believers at the local church had prayed for ten years for the village chief to become a Christian.

After the chief believed on Jesus, he attended church and was baptized. His four wives and twenty children all came to church and became believers, too.

God says whoever asks, receives, but not always when we want. It’s hard to trust God and wait for a long time for an answer. We can lose our patience, step in to help God and spoil the outcome.

If we wait for His perfect response, the results will be greater than we ever asked or prayed for. No one knew the chief’s entire family would come to the Lord after he had believed.
