I DESIRE MERCY, NOT SACRIFICE

Matthew 9:12-13a “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick, But go and learn what this means; I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”
Jesus wants mercy, not sacrifice.

God also desires obedience and loving loyalty, which is better than sacrifice.
God doesn’t want offerings. He wants us to acknowledge Him in a lifelong service.
God is not interested in penance. He wants a broken and contrite heart.
God hates pretense and hypocrisy. He wants us to be honest and fair. He wants us to be just and merciful, and to walk humbly with Him.
God doesn’t want sacrifices. He wants us to be merciful.
