HE AND HIS COMPANIONS WERE HUNGRY

Matthew 12:3-4 “He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests”
David and his companions went into the house of God and ate the consecrated bread. They were not punished for eating this because their need for food was more important than the priestly regulations.
Jesus and His disciples were hungry. The Pharisees condemned Jesus for picking heads of grain to eat on the Sabbath.
David was not condemned, so why were they condemning Jesus?
Jesus was not working on the Sabbath, he was eating to satisfy his hunger.
