THE SON OF MAN IS LORD OF THE SABBATH

Matthew 12:7-8 “If you had known what these words mean, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. You would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus never revoked the principle of the Sabbath day. It was intended as a day of spiritual and physical rest. He was displeased with the misuse of the Sabbath day by the Jewish teachers.
The Sabbath should be dedicated to the Lord God, to learn more about God, and seek His will. After all, didn’t He create the Sabbath and didn’t He create us so we could worship Him?
