MAY 20

Matthew 12:43-45 “When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, I will return to the house I left. When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
These verses refer to demons. When demons leave a man’s life, he should fill his life with the Holy Spirit. Then if Satan is searching for a place to stay, he will move on, if he sees that the Lord has taken up residence somewhere.

Could this scripture apply to someone who repents of his sins and believes on Christ but doesn’t fill his life with the things of God?
If he doesn’t read the Bible, pray, fellowship with other believers and worship the Lord, then his house will stay unoccupied. Empty of God’s presence.
Could Satan make that man’s condition worse than it was in the beginning?
