MAY 23

Matthew 13:5-6 “Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.”
Farmers sowed seeds by hand. No matter how skillful a farmer was, some seeds landed on the wayside among rocky ground and thorns.
Those seeds without root sprouted but quickly died under the scorching sun.
It reminds me of people who enthusiastically make a show of accepting Christ but never plant the roots of their souls in God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship.
