HE HAS NO ROOT AND LASTS ONLY A SHORT TIME
Matthew 13:20-21 “The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecutions come because of the word, he quickly falls away.”
Some receive the Word of God with joy, but they don’t let it take root and grow in their spirits. If they did, it would help them and lead them to life everlasting.
And those who have no root will endure only a little while, not to the end.
If a seed doesn’t take root, it can die. When troubles come, the person will fall away.
