Matthew 13:57 “And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them. Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor.”
Many of the Old Testament prophets were rejected. Jeremiah was rejected in his own hometown and family.
Christ was rejected.
In Isaiah 53:3 the prophet prophesied the Messiah would be rejected. “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering and familiar with pain.”
Jesus knew he would be rejected and betrayed and crucified.
And He was.
