YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO EAT
Matthew 14:16-18 “Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
“Bring them here to me.”
Say something. Do something. Give something. Bring something to Christ.
I was in a meeting with the women in the church, who expected me to provide everything for our upcoming celebration.
“I’d like your help. What could you bring?” I asked.
“We are very poor and don’t have much.”
“Surely you have something to contribute.”
One lady said, “We are harvesting peanuts. So there are plenty now.”
“Great. You women can make delicious peanut sauce. And everyone loves it over rice, including me. I don’t know how to make that gravy as well as you do. ”
“We can bring the peanut sauce if you provide the rice.”
“Yes, I will.”
God wants us to give, share, and do what is in our power to do. Why else does God say, “You give them something to eat.”
It didn’t matter that the disciples only had five loaves and two fishes, they gave them to Jesus. He multiplied them.
Give whatever you have to the Lord. It may seem like a small amount to you, but Jesus will use it and provide the rest of what is needed.
