Matthew 16:15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
When I first began living in rural Africa, I had to conduct a religious survey to determine the spiritual beliefs of the local people in the village. I randomly asked one hundred adults, WHO IS YOUR GOD?
Fifty persons said that they worshipped spirits in the trees, mountains, land, rocks and animals.
Twenty-seven persons said Jesus Christ was their God whom they worship and serve. These persons gave the exact date of their conversion to Christ and said they left the worship of trees, rocks, land, spirits and animals, recognizing the Lord as their God.
Jesus is asking you, “Who do you say I am?”
I respond. “Lord Jesus, you are my Savior, Lord, and God of all.”
What do you say?
