Matthew 18:6 “But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and be to thrown in the depths of the sea. ”

A village woman wanted to become rich so she stole a newborn baby and gave it to a witch doctor who prepared traditional medicines. He put the baby in a large mortar and pulverized the child with a wooden pestle. He used the remains as the main ingredient in a salve. When this cream was rubbed all over one’s body, the person would become rich.

Local villagers were so enraged they beat the woman and witch doctor until the police arrived, who threw the criminals in prison. The woman died there. The doctor stayed there.

Using innocent babies and unborn ones to make medicines is a sin. In the villages I worked in Africa, all abortions were called “criminal abortions.” Both the mother and medical person who performed any type of abortion were thrown in prison for murder.

“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
