WORRYING

“Would you like to go to church with me today?”

“I can’t. I have too much worrying to do.”

Another neighbor said, “I spent the morning worrying yesterday and didn’t clean my house.”

Worry can debilitate someone. It accomplishes nothing and doesn’t solve any problems. You’ll still have to finish your work or clean the house.

Worrying causes us lose ground in our fellowship with the Lord. Instead of worry, take the problem to the Lord. Trust Him and surrender it to Him.

The birds don’t plant or harvest, but God feeds them. God even cares for the lilies making them grow. God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow. Won’t He do much more for you, of little faith? Matthew 6:24-34

We were created in God’s image and are more precious to Him than anything He made. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us. Believe in Him, accept Him and each morning ask the Lord to “refill” you with the Holy Spirit. Then life will not pile up like a mountain of worries that can incapacitate you from doing what you should be doing.  The days will be less complicated and satisfying.

Seek God and His kingdom and His righteousness, and these things shall be given you. Don’t worry about tomorrow. We have enough troubles today. (Matthew 6:34)
